The Cancéropôle GSO is glad to announce that the 11th edition of its scientific event devoted to young researchers will be held on December 9-10 2024.
This 2-day « mentoring » workshop will involve presentation and discussion on recent findings and future projects in the scope of Genome Dynamics and Expression.
The format of the meeting (focused scientific research themes, small audience & full pension in a carefully selected location) is designed to foster exchanges between junior and senior scientists and strengthen networks between the Great South-West labs.
Objective
The main objective is to help young researchers develop their career plans in a short-mid term. This workshop aims also to improve their ongoing projects and enhance the quality of their future publications. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to present and discuss their work with key opinion leaders in the field:
- Claire Rougeulle, Deputy Director and Group Leader, Centre for Epigenetics and Cell Fate, Paris ; Director of Institut Curie Research Center
- Salvatore Spicuglia, Senior Scientist Group Leader at TAGC UMR U1090 Unit, Marseille
- Julien Brustel, Research Scientist, Team leader, Evotec, Toulouse
- Nikolay Tsanov, Senior editor, Cell Press, London
Audience
- 10 selected young researchers (from advanced PhDs to younger leaders) will have the opportunity to present their project
Participants selection will be made upon the scientific quality of candidates’ resume submitted online.
Registration is free. A deposit of 100 € will be requested (bank check to « Cancéropôle GSO »). It will be cashed if the participant does not show up at the workshop.

- Genome organization & (in)stability in DNA replication, repair and cell cycle
