
IRCM,Tribute day to Marie-Alix Poul, At the Heart of Innovation: Towards New Generation Monoclonal Antibodies
Marie‑Alix Poul was an exceptional immunologist whose career brought together immunology and antibody engineering. After completing her PhD in Montpellier in 1994 and a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF, she taught at the ENS Cachan before returning to Montpellier as a Professor of Immunology. At the University of Montpellier and the IRCM, she advanced research on therapeutic and monoclonal antibodies, contributed to cancer biology, co‑led the Master’s program in Cancer Biology, and dedicated herself to training young scientists.
Colleagues and students remember her for her openness, professionalism, and deep commitment to research and education. Her energy and enthusiasm left a lasting impact on the IRCM, the Labex MabImprove, and the University of Montpellier.
A tribute day will be held on Monday, June 29th at the Cancer Research Institute of Montpellier.
