4th edition of the Young Scientist Cancer Congress (YS2C)

The 4th edition of the Young Scientist Cancer Congress (YS2C), an international scientific meeting dedicated to early‑career researchers and clinicians in cancer research—with a strong French‑German core and broad international outreach—will take place on October 1–2, 2026, IUCT, Toulouse.

Aim: promote the work of postdocs and young clinician scientists, optimize their career paths, establish networks, and enable new translational research projects.

Public: The event will bring together Master’s and PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, early‑career researchers, and clinician‑scientists from all areas of cancer research.

Venue: Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse. Registration is for free, but mandatory.

Conference Formats — Key Highlights

  • Scientific Sessions: Keynotes and themed talks encouraging cross‑disciplinary dialogue, with time for questions.
  • Oral Presentations: For postdocs and clinician‑scientists only; 15‑minute talks plus Q&A, with a focus on constructive feedback.
  • Posters & Flash Talks: Open to all career stages; classic poster session + ultra‑short pitches (1 slide, 1 minute) to spark interactions.
  • Physician Corner: A space dedicated to clinical perspectives, unmet needs and translational discussions.
  • Hackathon: Mixed teams collaborate on concrete scientific or data challenges, delivering actionable outcomes and final presentations.
  • Meet the Editor: Direct exchange with an editor on publishing strategies, practical advice, and manuscript development.

YS2C offers three contribution formats. Eligibility depends on career stage.

  • Oral presentations: reserved for postdoctoral researchers and clinician-scientists
  • Poster presentations: open to Master’s students, PhD students, postdocs, and clinician-scientists
  • Lightning talks: open to Master’s students, PhD students, postdocs, and clinician-scientists

Selection is based on submitted abstracts.
